Our team of scientists can work with you to design performance characteristics of an assay that will fully address the study requirements. Our scientists have successfully developed or enhanced novel biomarker assays that are key to demonstrating safety, efficacy and mechanism of action. More than 700 new or enhanced assays have been introduced over the past 7 years by Specialty. Development of new polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assays is a common task for the scientists who were awarded the first commercial license for PCR testing by Cetus in 1988, and who have since created more than 70 different PCR and hybridization assays.
