This panel is used to aid in the screening and diagnosis of autoimmune disorders such as Mixed Connective Tissue Diseases, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Sjogren Syndrome, CREST syndrome (calcinosis, Raynaud's syndrome, esophageal dysfunction, sclerodactyly and telangiectasia), Idiopathic Raynaud's Syndrome, drug induced lupus, ANA-negative lupus, diffuse scleroderma, etc., also including autoimmune thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, and atypical autoimmune disorders. Individual components are also available. Also offered is the ANAlyzer without ANA panel, #1005, as a more focused evaluation for patients who have already been identified as ANA positive. Panel #1000 is more extensive since it can identify atypical autoimmune disorders as well. ANA with Reflex to ANAlyzer #1118 is also available. It includes the same components as panel #1000, where no specific antibody assays are performed on specimens with negative ANA screen.
