1118: ANA with reflex to ANAlyzer® Print View
ANA Screen, IFA IFA  Negative

PRIMARY
1 Serum 4 (2) mL   Room Temperature - 4 Day(s)/Refrigerated - 7 Day(s)/Frozen - 30 Day(s)
ALTERNATE

This panel is used to aid in the screening and diagnosis of autoimmune disorders such as Mixed Connective Tissue Diseases, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Sjogren's Syndrome, CREST syndrome (calcinosis, Raynaud's syndrome, esophageal dysfunction, sclerodactyly and telangiectasia), Idiopathic Raynaud's Syndrome, drug induced lupus, diffuse scleroderma, etc., also including autoimmune thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, and atypical autoimmune disorders. Individual components are also available. Also offered is the Analyzer without ANA panel (#1005) as a more focused evaluation for patients who have already been identified as ANA positive. Panel #1118 is more extensive since it can identify atypical autoimmune disorders as well. The Analyzer panel #1000 is also available and includes the same components as panel #1118, where all components are tested regardless of the ANA screen result. Panel #1000 is more extensive since it would be able to identify e.g. ANA- negative lupus, and the more sensitive EIA assays can detect low autoantibody levels that would not be positive on an ANA screen.

Overnight fasting preferred. Serum should be separated immediately
from clot.
