Clomipramine and its active metabolite, norclomipramine are antidepressant drugs. Therapeutic drug monitoring is useful to optimize dose and avoid toxicity.

Collect at steady-state trough concentration. Specimen should be
collected >12 hrs after dose. Do not use gel barrier/serum separator
tubes. ACD plasma is unacceptable.
