The HDL2b test may be used for individuals at risk of diabetes or cardiovascular disease, those with cardiovascular disease or those with low HDL levels or high triglyceride levels.

Red-top (Serum Separator Tube)
1. Gently invert 5X (DO NOT SHAKE!).
2. Let blood clot for 30 min. at room temperature.
3. Centrifuge for 10 min.
4. Store and transport refrigerated.

Red-top (no gel)
1. Gently invert 5X (DO NOT SHAKE).
2. Let blood clot 60 min. at room temperature.
3. Centrifuge for 10 min.
4. Aliquot top layer from red top draw tube and place SERUM in
transport tube and dispose of draw tube. Label the transport tube as
No Additive Serum Red. ONLY ship No Additive Serum in transport.
