1. Growth from appropriate solid media such as Saboraud Dextrose,
Brain Heart Infusion, Mycobiotic (Mycosel), Inhibitory Mould Agar, 5%
Sheep Blood Agar plate, or Chocolate Agar Plate.

regulations) at ambient temperature. DO NOT FREEZE THE ISOLATE.

If sending isolate, please provide the source of the specimen and indicate which fungal probe is to be tested. 3. SEND PURE CULTURE ONLY if sending isolate. If the isolate submitted is mixed, there will be no workup pending clarification with the client. There will be separate charges for each organism that requires fungal identification.
