Imipramine is a tricyclic antidepressant drug used to treat depression. Therapeutic drug monitoring is used to optimize dose and avoid toxicity.

Collect at steady-state trough concentration. Specimen should be
collected >12 hrs after dose. Do not use gel barrier/Serum Separator
tubes. ACD plasma is unacceptable.
