Mutations in CDKN2A are associated with Familial Atypical Multiple Mole Melanoma (FAMMM) syndrome. Individuals with a CDKN2A have an increased risk for melanoma (28-76% risk to age 80) and pancreatic cancer. This test detects pathogenic variants in the CDKN2A gene.

Specimen stability is crucial. Store and ship room temperature
immediately. Do not freeze. Send report of results for
family member with known mutation.
